Refuge

Refuge isn’t just another bar—it was designed as an anti-brand, a deliberate contrast to the over-branded, hyper-trendy bars that have become common in Houston. Tucked into a small, dimly lit space, the owners intentionally preserved an intimate, almost secretive atmosphere, placing the focus entirely on the craft of their cocktails and the quality of service rather than flashy branding or mass appeal.

To align with this vision, I developed a brand presence that is subtle yet distinct—something recognizable without being overpowering. Instead of loud logos and bold graphics, the brand is woven into the ambiance itself, allowing the experience, the space, and the expertly crafted cocktails to take center stage. The result is an identity that feels organic, refined, and true to the essence of Refuge.
